From concept models to production ready part designs for motorcycles and scooters, we have been an innovation partner for TVS
Most of the production and concept work we have done remains highly confidential. Upon specific request, we will be able to discuss our accomplishments with TVS Motor Company with their prior permission.
With TVS, we have worked on a number of projects that are varied in complexity and scope. These have been instrumental in TVS’s new product development programmes in a very broad range of research and strategic positioning to engineering.
Prior to co-founding EtherDesign in 2008, Makarand was part of the TVS design team from Year 2000 to 2008. Post 2008, the relationship has continued to grow as Ether Design grew in size and acquired experience and resource from other verticals like communication design, web design and retail.
Some of the marquee brands we worked on are TVS Wego Scooter, TVS Sport economy Motorcycle, TVS Star City Motorcycles, TVS Dazz Step-through Two Wheeler for the Indonesian Market. Some of these exercises involved complete style engineering and prototyping of all the style parts.
We worked with TVS to change the style statement of many products through colour and graphics as part of the typical ongoing refresh programmes. TVS Star City, TVS Apache, TVS Scooty, TVS Star, TVS Dazz have been periodically refreshed over the years. In a lot of these programmes, we have conceptualized and delivered complete prototypes for graphics.
We helped TVS design and build a host of custom vehicles and show models for auto shows and for resorts through advanced conceptualising and building them ground up using various materials and processes. In many cases we built these custom vehicles for actual use in controlled environments.
